Oconee Therapeutic Massage Studio
Massage that works.
Do you have a pain? Do you experience a limitation in your life because of an old (or new) injury?
Our highly trained massage therapists will work to decrease pain and increase function so you can enjoy your life.
Therapists may use techniques such as myofascial work, neuromuscular therapy, deep tissue, stretching, hydrotherapy (including hot stones or ice cups), and tools (such as the Theragun). Therapists choose techniques and tools appropriate to the client's goals, with the aim of effective improvement of symptoms. Our therapists seek to meet client's goals including relaxation in a therapeutic setting.
Your therapist will talk with you to gain an understanding of your condition and goals for treatment. The therapist will leave the room to wash his or her hands, and give you instructions for how to dress down and get onto the table. You may be asked to leave on or change into a sports bra or tank top and shorts if the therapist thinks that active myofascial work may benefit your condition. Otherwise, you will dress down to underwear bottoms and lie under a sheet and blanket. Your consent is important and therapists will explain treatment options to you before using alternative modalities in a service. After treatment, your therapist will give you some home care, including stretches or modification of daily activities.
Due to the medical nature of this work, tips are not accepted. All tools and modalities, including essential oils if desired, are included in the session fee.
